Argentinian Visit to viamon: Collaboration for International Success

Latin America is considered one of the most promising growth markets in the solar energy sector – a topic that has been gaining increasing importance for viamon since late 2023. To better understand this market and explore potential collaborations, viamon recently had the honor of hosting distinguished guests: Prof. Dr. Rubén Ascúa, Rector of the Universidad Nacional de Rafaela in Argentina, and Prof. Dr. Walter Ruda from Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences.

This visit was made possible through the efforts of Alina Baumgärtner, Executive Assistant at viamon. A former student at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, she wrote her bachelor’s thesis under the supervision of Prof. Ruda, focusing intensively on market entry strategies in Latin America, during which she established valuable connections.

Together with Timo Braunstein (Head of Project Management) and Felix Rosenwald (Project Management), the participants discussed the potential of the solar market in Latin America and potential avenues for collaboration.

The close partnership with Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, especially through viamon’s dual-study program students, fosters such international connections and strengthens the company’s goal of establishing itself in South America.

The visit highlights the importance of connections between companies, universities, and international partners in accessing new markets and driving global projects forward. Valuable contacts of Prof. Dr. Rubén Ascúa, has taken viamon another step toward entering the Latin American market. We look forward to future collaborations and international exchange.
